Jonetta concentrates her practice in the area of family law. She is currently the President of the Center for Principled Family Advocacy. She has served as an officer of the Center for the past three years prior to serving as a trustee for two years. She is committed to educating families facing divorce about the processes choices they have available to them which will allow them to successfully restructure their families. She focuses her efforts on improving honest communication between the parties and returning to individual clients and families control over their decision as they work to resolve family conflicts. Jonetta has advanced collaborative law training and is a certified family law mediator. Her experience includes analysis and litigation of complex domestic relations issues, including business evaluation, treatment of retirement assets in divorce, tax considerations involved in the payment and receipt of spousal support and custody issues. As a mother of three children, Jonetta is sensitive to child related issues and has an analytical and practical approach to problem solving. Her commitment to understanding her clients’ priorities has enabled her to achieve successful results.
Jonetta is very active in the community and served in many leadership roles throughout the greater Cleveland area. She served on the board of directors of The Junior League of Cleveland and Toronto. She is currently a treasure of the League’s Sustainer Council. She has chaired many philanthropic efforts. She was on the steering committee that developed the American Girl Fashion Show for the benefit of University Hospitals, Ireland Cancer Center, a committee she continues to serve on today. She is also involved in fund raising efforts at Ruffing Montessori School (west) and Laurel school. Jonetta is the treasurer for the Cleveland Bar Association Family Law section. She is also a member of the Ohio State and Cuyahoga County Bar Associations. Jonetta is member of St. Angela Merici parish where she is a Eucharistic Minister.
Jonetta is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University (1985) and John Marshall College of Law (1989). She also has completed relevant course work at Cleveland State University, Graduate School of Business, including: Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Advanced Marketing, Qualitative Business Analysis and Employment Practice Law.
Her Interests include Tennis, Hockey, Piano and Gardening.
