In addition to her law degree, Darlene Wilcox, has earned a Ph.D. and achieved tenure as a professor at Cornell University. Darlene served the university for 12 years before entering the private practice of law. Darlene believes that her diverse professional background and education helps her to better guide through the emotional and confusing legal issues of divorce or other family conflict.
Darlene maintains a solo practice in Rocky River. Darlene represents clients on all matters of divorce: property division, custody, child and spousal support, domestic violence and any modification of the court order that may be required after a divorce or dissolution is finalized. Darlene has limited her practice to the areas of family and juvenile law.
Ms Wilcox attended the University of Connecticut and the University of Florida for her undergraduate and Ph.D degrees, respectively. She earned her law degree at Cleveland Marshall College of Law. She is a member of both the Ohio Bar Association the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and a member of the Family Law Sections of both organizations. She is a member of the Center for Principled Advocacy, has received Collaborative Law training and is committed to the principles of the Center. Darlene also serves as a Guardian ad Litem in the Domestic Relations Court of Cuyahoga County. Darlene practices principally in Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties, but has represented clients in Lake, Ashtabula, Medina and Erie counties through the course of her practice..
