Sharon Comet-Epstein focuses her legal practice on all aspects of domestic relations and family law including divorce, dissolution, spousal and/or child support, custody, visitation, property division, business valuation, post-decree matters, and litigation/trial. In addition to being a strong advocate for her clients, Sharon is also a trained mediator.
As an attorney, Sharon’s goal is to help her clients get the best results they can-- given their situation-- and navigate through the process so they can move on with their lives as "emotionally and financially healthy" as possible.
Whether she is retained as an attorney-advocate or as a neutral third party mediator for both parties, her expertise in communications and negotiation proves invaluable in effectively handling the psychological, social and financial aspects of domestic relations matters. This expertise helps her to facilitate creative, successful, and cost-efficient resolutions with and/or for her clients.
If needed to help her clients achieve their goals, Sharon also works with a team of professionals including child psychologists, therapists, career counselors, financial planners, accountants, and real estate brokers.
As a second career attorney, Sharon has a rich and varied background including MS and PhD degrees from Case Western Reserve University in programs emphasizing communications, organizational behavior and negotiations.
Sharon graduated law school from Case in 1992, where she is an adjunct professor teaching attorney-client communications, interviewing, counseling, negotiating, and oral persuasion skills, and is a frequent speaker at professional and community sponsored programs.
